BFUHS Eligibility Criteria –
| Name of Post | Essential Academic/ Educational Qualification | Age Limit (As counted on 01/01/2024) |
| Senior Resident | DM/M.Ch for super-specialties and MD/MS for others specialties.
In case DM/M.Ch candidates for super-specialties posts are not available, MD/MS from allied specialties will also be eligible |
Maximum age must not be 45 years (As per NMC Notification dated 14.02.2022); provided that in case adequate eligible candidates for 45 or below are not available, candidates above the age of 45 years will also be eligible |
| Junior Resident (Dental) | BDS Degree from an institution recognized by the Dental Council of India. | The candidate should not be more than 37 years of age in the case of Junior Resident, relaxation in upper age limit as per Punjab Govt |
Note – The candidate must have knowledge of Punjabi language upto matriculation
standard or equivalent and in case he does not, must acquire the same within six
month of joining
Age Relaxation –Age Relaxation in upper limit will be given to only reserved categories as per Punjab Government rules and regulations. Note – The Candidates seeking age relaxation as per Govt. Guidelines will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at any subsequent stage of the selection process, as required by the BFUHS.
Reservation and Relaxation –
Reservation & Relaxation will be given to only reserved & Special categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWBD etc) as per government rules and regulations. Reservation guidelines as laid down by Government of India from time to time for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD etc. shall be followed. Candidates claiming reservation under reserved categories should submit certificate as per the Govt. Prescribed format issued from the competent certifying authority.
